Position Overview:
The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including chemical, mechanical, and electrical engineers, on various projects focused on product development and optimization. These projects may involve process development, test design and execution, fixture design and assembly, CAD work, and tolerance analysis.
The ideal candidate should be adaptable and eager to take on a wide variety of tasks, as well as assume responsibility for key deliverables. Engineers will have the opportunity to expand their skill set and gain valuable experience in a dynamic start-up environment, while developing expertise across a wide range of industry areas.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work hands-on with lab equipment (3D Printers, Laser cutters, Test equipment etc)
Design test procedures, 3D printed fixtures, perform custom tests, and analyze data
Project Lead for test development/ process / semi-automated fixturing as needed
Work with vendors to procure custom/off the shelf components
Write technical documentation to support product development
Contribute to design and development on next generation wearable medical device
Minimum Qualifications:
BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering and/or related disciplines
GPA greater than 3.3 is required
CAD proficiency required
SolidWorks proficiency preferred
Ability to communicate complexity in a simple and straightforward way
Intern or Co-op experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Mechanical aptitude / hands on mentality
Familiar with statistical analysis
Experience with CAD software
Good documentation skills
Strong attention to detail
Travel: Up to 10% travel may be required
Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: Annual Salary: $68,000 – $74,000/year
