Core Job Responsibilities:
Assembling medical devices per work instructions. Providing feedback to the Engineering team regarding assembly process and parts. Performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and operation of wafer fab equipment, using wet film application equipment (spin coaters, spray coaters, ovens, etc.), and documenting the results, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.
Must be able to work under a microscope and work with small components using tweezers. Ambidexterity and experience using epoxy or silicones is a plus. Must have attention to detail and be able to work with minimal work instruction on daily work and be able to multitask when needed to incorporate new assignments. Works on tasks that are moderately difficult, requiring judgement in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
Qualifications:
Sound hand/eye coordination and comfortable working with small parts, handling chemicals, and operating process equipment.
Familiarity with and comfortable in cleanroom work environment and procedures.
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Basic computer skills: email, spreadsheets, messaging.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years experience with manufacturing assembly.
Experience with quality controls and documentation.
2-year post-high school degree (AA) in a technical topic.
Experience with medical devices
Experience working with processes that result in thin films of chemistry applied to a substrate
Experience documenting work performed and Good Documenting Practices (GDP)
Comfortable using microscopes and tweezers to perform work
Prior start-up experience with the ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced and fast-changing environment.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods. Most of the work is to be performed in a clean room, which requires special gowning procedures. The duties often include inspections which require the use of a microscope and tweezers.
Additional Physical Requirements:
Basic ability to safely handle chemicals.
Ability to lift 25lbs.
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours in a single day while in the cleanroom.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
Travel: Up to 10% travel may be required
Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $22-$27 per hour
